Betty Sue Palmer was born on January 1, 1935. She was born in County, Kentucky. She finished her high school education in one of the neighborhood high schools. She obtained her degree from a college with a moderate level of prestige.

Moreover, Betty experienced a strict upbringing growing up in a low-income family. She went through struggles when she was 12, much like Johnny did. Her mother treated her poorly and beat her because she was also violent.

When Betty was seven years old, her stepfather began abusing her. Up until the age of twelve, it persisted. She fled her home when she was fourteen years old. After getting married, when Johnny was born, Betty and her then-husband John resided in Owensboro, Kentucky.

However, as Johnny stated in a 2002 interview on Inside the Actor’s Studio, the family moved about a lot while he was growing up.

When Betty was just 20, she married John Christopher Depp again. They first connected when they were just 16 years old. Over their marriage, they were fortunate to have four children.

As a result of their frequent disagreements, they divorced in 1985, at the time when Johnny was 15 years old. Eventually, Betty wed again to Robert Palmer, a guy who served a lengthy prison sentence on February 2, 1987.
