Bob Barker, the host of the iconic show, The Price is Right, turned 99 on December 12, 2022. He was born on December 12, 1923, in Darrington, Washington.
Bob’s wife, Nancy Burnet, shared the wonderful news in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital.
It is inspiring to learn that even though Bob is 99 years old, he is still hail and hearty. He still has the humor and charm intact.
Additionally, Nancy revealed the secret of his health: Bob burner turned from a complete vegan into a vegetarian 20 years ago.
She said that her husband is even though Bob Barker’s age is 99, and his only medication is for his thyroid. However, he takes supplements, including collagen, for great-looking skin and health.

In January 2019, Bob seriously injured himself because of a terrible fall. He was rushed to the hospital immediately.
Bob was hospitalized in 2018 for severe back pain. Again, Nancy pushed him to stay active because Bob was bedridden for a while.
In 2017, Bob Barker injured himself and was immediately admitted to the hospital. He had injured his head after he slipped and fell in his house.
Barker injured himself after a terrible fall on the sidewalk outside his Los Angeles home in 2015. He received stitches on his forehead. Additionally, he received a knee injury from the fall.

Dorothy Jo Gideon
Dorothy was born on February 24, 1924, in Springfield, Missouri, to Jack Oliver Gideon and Dorthy L. Evans Gideon. Bob Barker’s wife also worked in the entertainment industry. She sang in commercials and has appeared in series like It’s Your Bet and Tattletales.
Bob married Dorothy Jo Gideon in 1945. The former couple married at an Ella Fitzgerald concert in the mid-1930s. He was only 15 when he met Dorothy for the first time.
Bob Barker dated his wife for several years before they decided to marry in 1945.
In 1981 Dorothy Jo Gideon was diagnosed with lung cancer. She died six months later. Bob was devastated, and he couldn’t get over it. Even in 2017, Bob was seen visiting and cleaning her headstone at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles. He left flowers, too.

Nancy met Bob Barker at an animal adoption event on March 27, 1983. It was an event hosted by Earl Holliman. Initially, she was not aware of Bob and his stardom. Nancy Burnet connected with Bob because of his shared passion for animal rights advocacy.
A friend of Nancy’s suggested his name because of Bob’s advocacy in the spay-neuter movement.
Nancy is a big-time animal right activists. They have been together for more than three decades ever since. Interestingly they never married but have remained faithful to each other.
