Luke Theodore Walton is the son of a famous UCLA basketball player and NBA star Bill Walton and Susie Walton.

After playing college basketball for the University of Arizona team, he went professional when he was selected as the 32nd overall pick for the 2003 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers.

After playing for the Lakers for eight years, Luke began his coaching career, where he worked as an assistant for five years.
