Patrick’s portrayal of child werewolf Eddie Munster on the CBS television series The Munsters became his breakout role. In 1971, Patrick starred on the psychedelic fantasy children’s program Lidsville which was broadcasted on ABC.

In 1975, Patrick quit acting and learned how to play the bass guitar. He left acting to work for his father and began to learn to play the bass guitar. He formed the musical group Eddie and the Monsters along with many instrumentalists and backup singers and released his song, “Whatever Happened To Eddie?” in 1983.
