Clare Tendai Carey was born on June 11, 1967, in Rhodesia, South Africa (now Zimbabwe). She speaks Shona as her first language but is also proficient in English, French, Spanish, and German.
Clare Carey is an American actress of Rhodesian descent. She was born on a Catholic mission in Zimbabwe. Her father was a doctor, and her mother was a teacher.

She has also frequently appeared in “Point Pleasant” as Sarah Parker, “Jericho” as Mary Bailey, “Crash” as Christine Emory, and the drama “Eli Stone” as Sadie Abrams, a defense attorney who has argued against Eli in court.
Carey also created a camera for the independent film La Cucina, which made its Showtime debut in December 2009. She played the role of Celia, Rachel Hunter’s girlfriend.
She also appeared in the NCIS episode “Life before his eyes” as Ann Gibbs, the mother of Mark Harmon (Leroo Jethro Gibbs). Carey later appeared in the “Sic Semper Tyrannis” and episode of “NCIS: New Orleans” as Anna Boudreau, the antagonist.
