Early Life, Parents & Upbringing
Born and raised in Canada, Cory Gruter-Andrew is the son of Oliver Gruter-Andrew. Cory’s mom pushed him into the world of acting as she had a hunch that he would be good at it.
She enrolled him in a week-long acting camp during Cory’s summer holidays and even asked him to be put into a class for professional actors. Upon her request, Cory was enrolled in the world-acclaimed Arts Umbrella.
Cory refined his acting skills at the Arts Umbrella for six months. Finally, he landed Trudy Aronson of Premiere Talent Management as his agent after impressing Aronson with his incredible acting skills.
Career
After landing an agent, Cory Gruter-Andrew gave his first audition. He auditioned for a role in the critically acclaimed series Fargo.
Cory went to Calgary for his audition and delivered his first lines in sign language. He played the role of Wes in an episode of the show’s second season.
Upon his return to Vancouver, Cory landed the role of 11-year-old Arden in the TV movie My Sweet Audrina. The TV movie was adapted from the same name book written by novelist Virginia C. Andrews.
