Moreover, Barbara also battled breast cancer twice while struggling to raise Danielle independently. During Barbara’s second time with cancer, Danielle was her sole supporter.

Ira Peskowitz, a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputy, was an absentee father. Danielle is estranged from Ira, and according to reports, after Danielle’s rise to popularity, Ira tried his best to make amends. Moreover, he allegedly asked the court to let him off the hook on child support and petitioned for shared custody.

Ira Peskowitz’s attorney Bob Shalhoub said,

“Our goal is to establish a relationship between Danielle and her father. She obviously needs help. She’s being exploited by her mother. Her father has been barred from seeing the little girl by her mom. With all of the drama, we think this is the father’s attempt to save Danielle’s life.”

However, regardless of Ira Peskowitz’s efforts to fix their relationship, neither Danielle nor Barbara seems interested in letting Ira back into their lives. In fact, Barbara Bregoli even filed a request to formally remove Ira Peskowitz’s name from Danielle’s birth certificate.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Barbara claimed that Ira was an absentee opportunist who only returned to their lives after Danielle’s rise to fame.
