However, during his attempt to question, a Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officer steps in and accuses him of assault, shocking everyone.

The officer claimed Menzies was almost pushing everybody over, and he also did the same to him, which resulted in his arrest.

Menzies, on the other hand, did not accept the accusations; instead, he shouted, defending himself.

He believed that the officer arrested him without any reason or charges and that he was just doing his work without disturbing anyone.

Additionally, David expressed his frustration, saying, “Welcome to Blackface’s Canada, this is what they do to journalists.”

Menzies highlighted his belief that the detention was an attempt to silence journalists and criticized the administration for its handling of the IRGC designation issue.

Nonetheless, Rebel News founder Ezra Levant declared her decision to sue RCMP for false arrest, false imprisonment, and assault.

Her response implies a determination to fight the injustice and possible violation of press rights.

Moreover, as news of David’s arrest circulated in the media, the public was curious about the subsequent charges he faced following his arrest.
