Randy Chrisley was born in Westminster, South Carolina, and went to West Oak high school graduating in 1984. Following the footsteps of his elder brother Todd Chrisley, Randy is also a businessman.

In August 2019, Todd Chrisley and his wife Julie Chrisley got arrested in Atlanta on multiple counts. They have charges of bank fraud, tax evasion, and wire fraud.
The couple had planned the conspiracy between 2007-2012, through which they withdrew bank loans worth millions of dollars. Later, they claimed that a trusted employee had illegally conspired all of it without their knowledge.
The couple got banned from travel and were forced to a court appearance and paid USD 100,000 as an unsecured appearance bond.
The family had a fraud of over USD 30 Million and was found guilty on all counts in June of 2022. There are speculations of their sentencing to reach up to 30 years.
