The shootings in a Belgrade school on Wednesday and a rural area south of the capital city on Thursday have left the country in shock and dismay.
Even though Serbia is rife with weaponry, a school massacre like the one on Wednesday has never occurred.
On Saturday, the second day of three days of mourning for the deceased. In addition, Serbian media reported that four of the eight children were murdered in the school shooting.
A mass funeral for the five young men killed in the shooting spree on Thursday night was held in the small village of Malo Orasje.

The shootings in a Belgrade school on Wednesday and a rural area south of the capital city on Thursday have left the country in shock and dismay.
Authorities pledged a firearms crackdown and increased school security. On Wednesday, a 13-year-old boy opened Fire on his classmates, killing seven girls, a boy, and a school guard.
A 20-year-old man opened Fire randomly in two villages in central Serbia the next day, killing eight people.

Classmates and hundreds of others wept as one of the girls was slain in the school massacre. They were laid to rest in Belgrade in a little white coffin wrapped in flowers.
The girl’s mother was overcome with grief and could barely stand. During the service, one girl passed out among shouts and sobs.
While the country struggled to absorb what had happened, authorities vowed to crack down on guns.
They are planning to increase school security.
Thousands of people expressed their sorrow and support by lighting candles and leaving flowers close to the Belgrade shooting scene.
While waiting for the coffins to be positioned on five benches outside the local church for a service, sobbing mourners lined up to light candles.
Experts have consistently warned that decades of crises, economic suffering, and corrupt institutions invite disaster.
Similarly, high intolerance in public speech and politics may drive certain people insane.

Following the school shooting, the country observed three days of mourning.
A girl has died over two weeks after being shot in Serbia’s first school shooting, becoming the country’s tenth casualty.
The man reportedly carried two firearms and four Molotov cocktails in a well-planned attack.
According to Veselin Milic, he called the police from the school courtyard, telling them, “I’m a psychopath and need to calm down.”
One instructor and six kids were injured, including the girl brought to the hospital for brain surgery.
