According to HuffPost, Emily Jendrisak has been a source of intimidation for her neighbors and she has threatened them with lawsuits. Likewise, the news source confirmed that Gavin McInnes sent letters to his neighbors whose yards had signs reading “Hate has no home here”  and complained that the messages were displayed in an attempt to attack him and his family

The situation escalated when the McInneses complained about their neighbors in a heated online discussion on the social media app Nextdoor. Although the discussion was conducted in an attempt to clear the misunderstandings with their neighbors, some of the remarks made by the McInneses showed their hypocrisy.

A transcript of Gavin McInnes’ comments obtained by HuffPost read, “The Jewbag quote was a character.” Furthermore, Emily Jendrisak wrote,

“I assure you as a Native American woman raised with a full-blood mother and a longtime liberal, my heart is full and open to all.”

While Emily’s remarks seemed mostly harmless, HuffPost gained evidence proving Emily’s attempt to intimidate and harass her neighbors in response to their anti-hate signs. As per the news media, Emily threatened to take legal action against her neighbors and accused them of targeting her family. 

Emily, who claimed that she and her husband were suing the Southern Poverty Law Center and “several publications” for defamation, defended Gavin McInnes’ neo-fascist organization on Nextdoor. She wrote,

“Gavin founded a beer-drinking club that was fond of Animal House and humor. He NEVER led a hate group … Again, why not ask us questions? We will meet or talk at any time. And PLEASE from the bottom of my heart let my sweet kind-hearted children have some peace.”  

When news about her now-public legal threats reached Emily’s ears, the former consultant told HuffPost that the threats were offhanded. In an attempt to defend herself, she said,

“I’ve said, ‘Please call me. I dare you.’ That was as threatening as I got…I’m so encouraged by so many of our neighbors who want to talk to us rather than protest us.”

“I do bear … responsibility. I’m not guilt-free in this. There’s culpability there. I shouldn’t have said, you know, violence solves everything or something like that without making the context clear and I regret saying things like that.”

Commenting on her husband’s ban from social media, Emily Jendrisak also gave a rare statement to ABC and said,

“This is impending on the peace for my opportunity to raise my kids. I was raised in a liberal household. I am a die-hard Democrat. So your politics have evolved this way in the last few years has been a challenge, but I respect anyone’s right to have their opinion.”
