Earlier this year, the court granted Ioan Gruffudd, who played Reed Richards, a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic, a restraining order against his ex-wife.
A U.S. court approved a restraining order on Aug. 2 to bar his ex-wife, Alice Evans, from mentioning him on social media. According to the agreement, she is not allowed to share private text messages between Gruffudd and their children.
Estranged from each other from 2007 to 2021, the couple was married for ten years. The couple has two children together, Ella, 12, and Elsie, 8.
As reported, Gruffud’s reasoning for the restraining order includes claims that Evans sent threatening messages to him, his girlfriend, Bianca Wallace, and even to his mother, Margaret Griffiths.
As a temporary measure, Gruffudd was granted a restraining order before the Los Angeles court confirmed the three-year order. Despite Evans’ absence, the actor was present when the Domestic Violence Restraining Order was granted. Additionally, Gruffudd requested Evans not contact his employee or speak disparagingly about him.
One of the sources said, “Ioan had no choice but to up his legal fight over Alice. She had become increasingly volatile and seemingly intent on destroying his career with her character assassination. He hopes this will put an end to it.”
As part of her social media accounts, Evans continuously shares details about her divorce and legal battles. For example, her Instagram account includes a video of her examining a court document pertaining to her ex-partner and their relationship with the kids.
Evans requested sole custody of Ella and Elsie, while Gruffudd sought joint custody.
