Francine Valli was born to Frankie and Mary Vallie in New Jersey. While the exact date of her birth is unknown, several online sources claim that she was born in 1960.

Furthermore, Francine Valli got raised, and she practically lived with her siblings, stepsister Cecilia and senior sister Antonia, in New Jersey. She was interested in music as her father was a musician, and musicians always surrounded her. 

Additionally, the family’s house was a major Mediterranean-style house in Nutley.

She was a very gifted singer with a famous and talented coach as her father to support her musical journey, but fate had something else to decide.

We don’t know what exactly was the reason for her to start taking drugs. However, Francine soon had a problem with her drug use. She was in an out-of-rehabilitation center. There were times when she showed improvement; however, soon, she would give up and go back to drugs.

Sadly, Francine Valli passed away due to a drug overdose on August 16, 1980, when she was just 20. 

Six months after Francine’s death, Cecilia, Francine’s stepsister, died in an accident, causing a lot of pain, tragedy, and death for the Valli family. Additionally, her paternal grandfather suffered a stroke the same year during summertime.

A drug complication overdose caused Francine Valli’s death. Despite various rumors that she committed suicide, the examination report revealed that she suffered from complexities in taking Quaaludes (tranquilizers and entrancing medications) and liquor.

There are also rumors that she had pneumonia, which may have contributed to her death.

Her parents knew that Francine was a chronic drug user. They sent her to a rehabilitation center. Unfortunately, she passed away. 

To this day, Frankie still misses Francine since she is his favorite child. However, he has to live with a massive scar on his heart due to his daughter’s departure.

Francesco Stephen Castelluccio was born in Newark, New Jersey, on May 3, 1934. His father, Anthony Castelluccio, was a barber, and his mother, Mary Rinaldi, was an employee at a beer company. 

Valli became a singer at seven when his mother took him with her to see a performance of Frank Sinatra in Manhattan, from whom he adopted his stage name. Frankie worked in his father’s business and did gigs locally, too.

Frankie’s single ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,’ was released in 1967. It peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and significantly impacted pop culture.
