Marshawn Lynch, a former running back for the NFL and a Super Bowl champion, was arrested for DUI on Tuesday morning by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.
Lynch was stopped by responding officers at Fairfield Avenue and West Utah Avenue, north of the famous Las Vegas Strip, and found to be intoxicated. Following his arrest, he was taken to Las Vegas city jail and booked.
Lynch’s booking photo was posted on Tuesday by the City of Las Vegas’ official Twitter account.
The Seattle Seahawks hired Lynch as a special correspondent for his former team to “produce creative content for a variety of projects.” Unfortunately, the announcement was no longer on the team’s website on Tuesday afternoon.

A ferocious runner known as “Beast Mode,” Lynch played 12 seasons in the NFL, winning Super Bowl XLVIII with the Seahawks in 2014. Having played for the Seahawks, Raiders, and Buffalo Bills, Lynch retired in 2019.
At the University of California, Berkeley, Lynch was a standout tailback.
Lynch is well known for his activism and community work in Oakland, California — establishing the Fam 1st Family Foundation to support youth activities in the Bay Area.
