Now in her 70s, Van Houten is serving a life sentence for helping Manson and other followers in the 1969 killings.

According to Houten’s attorney, Nancy Tetreault, there is a possibility that she may be released.

The release can come from the California Institution for Women in Corona in approximately two weeks.
