Jason Momoa, known for his leading character in “Aquaman,” showed off a new tattoo on his head on Wednesday.
Taking to Instagram, Mamoa shared a clip of himself preparing to board a plane as he donned a bowler hat, a tank top, and gray pants.
When he glanced around to the other side of the aircraft, the 43-year-old star said, “Hawaiian Airlines – proud to be Hawaiian, proud to ride Hawaiian Airlines, the best part is, it goes to New Zealand finally, again.”
He continued, “It’s been like two years since they were able to go because of COVID.”
The 6ft4 screen star added, “Hawaiian Airlines, I love you for this, and I got something special for ya,’ at which point he removed his hat to show off a tribal pattern he had tattooed on the left side of his head.”
After showing off the new ink, the Honolulu, Hawaii native said, “Chief of war coming, baby!”
In an interview, a rep for the actor said, “He got his head and neck tattooed. It’s a huge piece. It’s related to his Hawaiian roots and culture.”
Game of Thrones actor portrayed as Khal Drogo in the famous HBO series also captioned the post.
He wrote, ‘Here we go @hawaiianairlines is back we’re going to New Zealand HAWAII TO AOTEROA Mahalo to my OHANA for being there for me yesterday @suluape_keone it was a true honor 20 years in the making.”
The A-list action star continued, “So stoked @mananalu.water is on the flight mahalo again @hawaiianairlines help stop single-use plastic. Always on the roam @soill Aloha j.”
As part of his campaign against single-use plastics, the ‘See’ actor shaved off half of his head earlier this month.
As the Dune star explained in a clip, “Doing it for single-use plastics, I’m tired of using plastic bottles. We gotta stop, plastic forks, all that s***, goes into our land, goes into our ocean.”
