Jennifer Lopez said something surprising that may sound ludicrous at first, but it makes sense: she feels like an outsider in Hollywood when you think about it.

On her J Lo Beauty Instagram page, J Lo has a new video.
She spoke up about her experience in Hollywood while promoting her Sephora goods, revealing that she frequently feels like she doesn’t belong there.

On the surface, that seems ludicrous; she’s made 30 films and yet considers herself a “outsider.”

“I think for me, I know it is important for all of us to feel like we belong, um, and like most people there’s so many times in your life when you feel like an outsider, I feel like that in Hollywood sometimes.”

She might now be venting her frustrations on the fact that she was not nominated for “Hustlers,” which had generated a lot of Oscar hype.
Tyler Perry slammed the Oscars, saying she deserved to be nominated.

There are lots of huge performers who aren’t welcomed by Hollywood’s elite, and part of it is definitely due to jealousy and vanity.
In J Lo’s case, she receives more attention than almost anybody for the things she does and the people she dates, which must irritate other actresses who don’t get as much attention as she does.

Bottom line: she’s a grade-A marketer for dropping that nugget, which undoubtedly increases sales of her beauty goods.
