A rising talent in Hollywood has passed away.

Joey Morgan, a 28-year-old actor who appeared in the movie Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse and Flower, died on November 21. Joey Morgan’s uncle, who was also his representative, stated to E! News, “My nephew Joey Morgan passed on Sunday morning.” “We are devastated beyond belief as a family. He was a kind, gentle, loving, and caring soul who meant so much to his family and smany others. We ask that everyone give us the space we need to properly grieve his unexpected passing as we process this heartbreaking tragedy.”

At this time, no other information, including Joey’s cause of death, has been made public.

Joey’s friend and Flower co-star Zoey Deutch paid tribute to him on social media on Sunday. “rest in peace joey,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo from the set of the 2017 movie. “a deeply kind, talented, special person. we love you.”

Patrick Schwarzenegger, who worked with Joey on the 2015 film Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, expressed surprise at Zoey’s homage post.  “What?!? No,” he wrote. “Such a hilarious bright star when I worked with him. Wow. This is awful.”

Scouts director Christopher Landon also paid tribute to the actor on social media.

“Joey Morgan came into my life nearly 9 years ago when I made Scouts,” Christopher tweeted. “He was quiet, funny, intelligent and thoughtful. And when the cameras rolled he was magnetic. He passed today and the news is heartbreaking. I am honored to have known him.”

Joey has also appeared in Netflix’s Sierra Burgess Is a Loser and the Shudder series Critters: A New Binge over the years.
