Jon Hamm revealed his affinity for Real Housewives in a recent interview. Find out what he thinks about RHOBH star Erika Jayne’s ongoing legal troubles.
As the newest Bravoholic, Jon Hamm joins a long list of celebrities.
Whenever he and his girlfriend Anna Osceola watch TV while cooking dinner, they tend to watch Real Housewives. “I’m fascinated by it, I really am,” Hamm said in an interview with Howard Stern. “I resisted it for decades. I thought it was the low-hanging fruit, the lowest common denominator.”
Jon Hamm was especially wary of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, saying, “I would see them out in the wild, and you just see this pack of cameras and lights, and it’s just like, what kind of existence is this?”
In the end, Teresa Giudice and co. Convinced him to reconsider. “The first hit of the pipe was New Jersey,” Hamm said. “Started in Jersey, then we went across the river to New York, and then we got on a plane and flew across the country and landed in Beverly Hills.”
He asked Stern the 750,000-dollar question: “Should Erika Jayne give back the earrings?”
Jon Hamm responded emphatically. “Yes!” he said. “Of course, she should.”
Erika’s estranged husband, disgraced lawyer Tom Girardi, gifted her diamond earrings early in their relationship.
During the filming of Bravo’s series, allegations surfaced that Tom fraudulently obtained funds from his clients.
According to Law360, a judge said in July that although Erika ”wasn’t aware the earrings were stolen property,” she still needed to turn them in. Moreover, she’s continually denied involvement in Tom’s alleged wrongdoings, while he has yet to publicly address the lawsuits he’s named in.
After discussing the earrings further, Hamm said he felt like saying to Erika, “Honey, they were never yours.”
