Kevin Federline, Britney Spears’ ex-husband, shared videos on social media showing the singer and her two sons arguing. Federline spoke in a recent interview to discuss the pop star’s relationship with their two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden, explaining that both of them decided not to see their mother right now.

Following their 2007 divorce, Federline won full custody of their children in 2008. In response to the interview, Spears and her new husband, Sam Asghari, have released a statement on Instagram, telling the world their relationship with their children should remain private.

According to Spears’s Instagram post, subsequently deleted, she said her sons didn’t interact with her when they visited her while she was under conservatorship but instead went directly to their rooms.

As she explained in her statement, her children had approached her this summer and told her they would be less likely to see her. As a result, her access to them has been restricted ever since. According to her, this was a “pretty harsh decision.”

In response to Spears’ attack, Federline posted on Instagram three videos that he claimed were taken by their sons, supposedly showing Spears arguing with them.

The post’s caption read, “I can not sit back and let my sons be accused in this way after what they’ve been through. As much as it hurts us, we decided as a family to post these videos the boys took when they were 11 & 12. This isn’t even the worst of it. The lies have to stop. I hope our kids grow up to be better than this. #NeverFearTruth.”

In a prior version of the statement, Federline had alleged that Sean Preston and Jayden distanced themselves from the singer following her social media sharing of partially nude photos.

While under conservatorship, the ‘Toxic’ singer feared getting sent away again if she was aggressive with her sons. On Wednesday, she wrote that in an Instagram post that has been deleted now.

As she wrote, “Yeah, I know that teenagers are just hard to deal with at that age … but COME ON, there’s being rude, then there’s being HATEFUL … they would visit me, walk in the door, go straight to their room and lock the door !!! [Then], the MONITOR would tell me that he just likes to be in his room … I’m like, why come visit me if they don’t even visit me !!!”

The singer added: “But I never said that because I have to be kind. Remember… if I speak up as a woman or say something argumentative like I did with a dance move saying no to it, I got sent to that place for 4 months.”

According to Spears, Federline apparently told her initially that he would not let their children decide if they wanted to stop seeing her.

As she continued, “It breaks my heart because it seems to be that these days, cruelty does, in fact, win, although it’s not about winning or losing !!!. But I can’t process how I dedicated 20 years of my life to those kids … everything was about them !!! For them to knock the breath out of me.”
