Who is Lisa Marie Presley?

Lisa Marie Presley was born on February 1, 1968, to the legendary American icon Elvis Presley and his actor wife, Priscilla Presley, in the singer’s mansion Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. Her birth was celebrated as the “Princess of rock ‘n’ roll.” She is the only child of Elvis Presley.

Born with the sleepy eyes of her father, Elvis, and the delicate bone structure of her mother, Priscilla, Lisa became famous at birth.

Growing up in her father’s iconic estate, Lisa Marie remembers her childhood as magical, warm, and loving. Sadly, her parents divorced when she was 5, and her mother relocated to California, pulling Lisa Marie with her. Tragically, Elvis died when Lisa Marie was just nine years old.

Like her father, Lisa Marie Presley also became a singer and songwriter. Throughout her career, Lisa Marie released three albums and pursued acting, appearing in the 2004 film Lisa Marie Presley: Idiot.

Sadly, Lisa Marie passed away on January 12, 2023, due to a heart attack. She was 54 years old at the time of her death.

Lisa Marie Presley was married four times in her life and engaged five times. Her husbands included musician Danny Keough, the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage, and guitarist Michael Lockwood.

Lisa married Danny Keough in 1988. Lisa met Danny at a drug rehabilitation center when they were teenagers. Their marriage ended after six years. They had a ‘quickie’ divorce in the Dominican Republic in 1994. Ironically, she was staying with Danny at her house in Calabasas

After the divorce, Lisa Marie Presley tied the knot with the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, less than a month after her divorce in 1994. Lisa Marie Presley had a short-lived marriage to actor Nicolas Cage. The couple began dating in 2001 and were married in August 2002. However, their marriage only lasted a few months, and they finalized their divorce in 2004. Even though Lisa Marie Presley was married four times, however, she has kids only from her two marriages. She had two kids from her first marriage with Danny Keough- Riley and Benjamin Storm Keough. The other two kids were twins from Michael Lockwood, her fourth marriage- Finley and Harper Lockwood.

Riley Keough is the eldest daughter of Lisa Marie Presley. She was born on May 29, 1989.

She started her career as a model in 2004. However, Riley is best known for her acting career. The eldest daughter of Lisa has appeared in several movies, including Mad Max: Fury Road, Logan Lucky, and The Lodge. She has also been featured in magazines such as Vanity Fair and Elle.

In 2022, Riley made a debut as a director with the movie War Pony. She is now married to Australian stuntman Ben-Smith Peterson.

Benjamin Storm Keough

Benjamin Storm Keough was born on October 21, 1992. He was the second child of Lisa and Danny. Benjamin tragically passed away in July 2020 due to an apparent suicide in Calabasas, California. He was only 27 years old.

Brandon Howard, Benjamin’s friend, said that Lisa’s son struggled with depression and the pressure to live up to the Presley legacy. His death took a heavy toll on Lisa Marie Presley, who has since opened up about blaming herself “every single day” for her son’s death.

Benjamin Keough was buried next to Elvis Presley to keep their family together in Graceland. The loss of Benjamin has been hard for the entire family, particularly Lisa Marie, who has experienced grief before.

Lisa Marie Presley had two twin daughters, Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood and Finley Aaron Love Lockwood, whom she welcomed in 2008 with her then-husband Michael Lockwood.

The couple finalized their divorce in 2021 and shared 40% custody of the twins. However, Michael is reportedly looking to claim full custody of the girls.

Lisa Marie shared many photos of her daughters on her social media and often expressed how much she loved them. Sadly, the girls were left without a mother after Lisa Marie’s untimely death in January 2023.
