Congratulations seem to be for Rita Ora and Taika Waititi. Their intimate wedding took place in London.
“It was an intimate ceremony and super special for everyone there,” an insider said. “Their nearest and dearest can see how madly in love they are.”
It also stated that the singer — who changed her name to Waititi-Ora — wanted a small wedding to “keep their relationship as private as possible.”
It said, “A big, showbiz-style bash is planned to celebrate, but don’t expect to see it being flogged to the highest-bidding magazine.”
As well as confirming the news, Ora wore what appeared to be a wedding band on Sunday.
Page Six did not receive a response from Ora or Waititi.
The “For You” singer, 31, and the “Thor: Ragnarok” filmmaker, 46, made “simultaneous” proposals last month and planned a “low-key” wedding followed by a splashy party.
“This isn’t about them doing a big showy thing and crowing about it beforehand,” say insiders. “It’s just about them being in love and deciding the right time to formalize their relationship.
They were first linked in May 2021 when they appeared to be cozying up in Sydney, Australia.
As well as them a third participant is also pictured kissing on a balcony, actress Tessa Thompson.
“I think in the world of the internet, everything goes away pretty quick,” an actor told the Sydney Morning Herald following an online kiss. “And also, ‘Is it that big a deal?’ No, not really. I was doing nothing wrong. It’s fine.”
A few months later, the pair walked on the red carpet for “The Suicide Squad” premiere.
Ora and Waititi married two years after Page Six revealed that he had separated from Chelsea Winstanley, his then-wife.
They have two daughters: Te Hinek‘hu, 10, and Matewan Kiritapu, 6.
