Even though Season 3 has entered development for Disney+ (no release date has been confirmed), Marvel Studios has disappointed its fan after pushing the release date for What if…? Season 2

Marvel also confirmed a spin-off show Marvel Zombies, is in the works.

During its San Diego Comic-Con animated panel, Marvel Studios announced that What If…? Season 2 will premiere in the spring of 2023.

The production confirmed the earlier release date of July 20 was a mistake. Disney+ Netherlands the newsletter claiming the animated premiere had mistakenly listed What If…? Season 2

Hela, Captain Carter, Scarlet Witch, Iron Man, Black Widow, Doctor Strange, and others will play heroes who save the multiverse one universe at a time.

In the trailer, recognizable characters appear in unrecognizable situations, an episode based on Neil Gaiman’s alternative universe limited series 1602

In a special racing episode, Iron Man is stuck on the trash planet Sakaar and fights Shang-Chi characters.

Created by A.C. Bradley, who wrote some Ms. Marvel episodes, What If…? debuted on Disney Plus in 2021.

Based on a comics anthology series, this animated show explores what might have happened if things unfolded differently in the Marvel Cinematic Universe; rather than following the timeline fans know, it explores alternative timelines in the multiverse.

Captain America, Black Panther, and Iron Man were the Marvel characters featured in the first nine episodes.

The second season, slated for nine episodes, is expected to create chaos and switch up the stories for many more Marvel heroes.
