According to a new tell-all book, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s rift with the Royal Family is much deeper than anyone imagined.

“Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors” is the upcoming book by Tom Bower, who is known for writing biographies about the Royals without their permission.

Meghan Markle Bio, relationships, career, and more.

There were subtle shots between both parties behind closed doors and several dust-ups over the past few years, following Meghan’s Vanity Fair cover in 2017, the first time she publicly acknowledged their relationship.

There was only a tiny part of the article with Meghan saying,
We’re a couple, we’re in love,” and they say they’d eventually come forward and tell their story in full. But, of course, VF’s headline was all about their relationship — “She’s Just Wild About Harry!

Bower claims the Royals were angry because Meghan had been instructed not to speak about Harry. They were seen together publicly at the time, but neither spoke to the press. According to reports, Meghan fought with her PR agency, demanding VF retract the quote and change their angle. But, the Vanity refused.

In the end, that did not seem to make much of an impression at Buckingham Palace. Instead, as we know, tensions only escalated as time passed, eventually boiling over during the Oprah interview.

Bower says the aftermath of that sit-down proved devastating — as evidenced by Queen Elizabeth II allegedly saying, “Thank goodness Meghan isn’t coming,” a month after Prince Philip passed away. The duchess was pregnant again then, so only Harry attended the funeral, but even he seemed antsy.

In his book, Bower claims that Meghan and Harry sprung Lilibet’s name (Liz’s actual nickname) on the Queen when Lilibet was born.

Also noticeable was Harry and Meghan’s distance from the rest of the family at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee earlier this year, particularly for the balcony seats.

Bower claims Meghan and Prince Harry were desperately trying to get a spot next to the Queen as a reward for bringing their kids out there in the first place — but Prince Charles shut it down, with the Queen quietly cosigning. After that, Harry and Meghan left.

Prince Archie- Harry, Duke of Sussex, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’s son.

Moreover, there was Prince Harry’s interview with Hoda Kotb, where he dissed his brother and father, making it seem like he and Nana were closer than any of her other children. Bower claims that the Royals were also upset about this.

According to the book, there’s a lot more to come. On Thursday, ‘Revenge’ will be released.
