Actor Ezra Miller, who stars in the upcoming DC movie “The Flash,” has sought treatment for mental health, Miller confirmed via a representative.

“Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment,” star said. “I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior.”

Non-binary Miller, who uses they/them pronouns, added: “I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe, and productive stage in my life.”

A star’s statement comes after several legal issues have kept him in the headlines.

Miller was arrested in March in Hilo, Hawaii, and charged with disorderly conduct and harassment after an incident in a bar, according to the Hawaii County Police Department.

Local police reported that Miller paid $500 bail and got released from custody.

Star agreed to plead no contest to the disorderly conduct charge on April 19 and fined him $500, court records show, and the harassment charge got tossed out.

Later that day, Miller was arrested for second-degree assault in the neighborhood near the town of Pāhoa, the Hawaii Police Department reported. However, there have not been charges filed related to that incident.

A felony burglary charge was filed against Miller on August 9 after he allegedly stole alcohol from a home in Stamford, Vermont. The owners were away, state police said.

The release said that Miller plans to appear in Vermont Superior Court on September 26 to get arraigned on the burglary charge.

Due to these incidents, Warner Bros., the studio responsible for “The Flash,” similar to CNN, is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, has raised questions about Miller’s future in the starring role.

He has played the role of Barry Allen/The Flash in numerous DC superhero films. The film, slated for June 23, 2023, is set to be Miller’s first solo effort.

During an earnings call earlier this month, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav praised “The Flash” and upcoming projects, saying, “We are very excited about them.”

After months of requests from comics fans, Miller was replaced in the film by Grant Gustin, who plays Barry Allen/The Flash in the CW series. Discovery is also a co-owner. That series concludes with its upcoming ninth season.

His last performance was on the big screen in “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore,” a movie released in April
