Adele Wishes Merry Christmas To Megan Thee Stallion As Tory Was Found Guilty

During her concert in Los Angeles, Adele wished Megan Thee Stallion “A Very, Very, Merry, Merry Christman. When speaking with the audience, she mentioned the viral video Adele had seen of Megan dancing to the 2020 song “Body.”

Adele also showed her support for Stallion, “Well, tonight, I would like to wish Meg Thee Stallion a very, very, merry, merry Christmas,” continued Adele. “Girl, get the peace. Do whatever you want now, baby. I love you.”

Why did Tory Lanez shoot Megan?

According to Megan Thee Stallion, she was with Tory Lanez in an SUV in Hollywood Hills on July 12, 2020. They were returning from the pool party at the house of Kylie Jenner. 

She said they were accompanied by Tory’s bodyguard and Megan’s friend. Megan was in the front seat. Both got into a heated argument and started attacking each other’s music careers. 

She testified that Tory shot at her feet five times. The prosecutors said, “The defendant and the 24-year-old victim got into an argument while riding in an SUV in the Hollywood Hills,” they added, “The victim exited the vehicle, and Peterson is accused of shooting several times at her feet and wounding her.” 

Ryan Stogner, LAPD Detective, testified that Tory fired at her feet while shouting, “Dance, bitch, dance.”

Stogner added that Megan Thee Stallion lied about shooting at first. Instead, she said she stepped on glass because she was afraid of police violently escalating the situation if they were called on Lanez, a Black man with a gun in his car.

Tory Lanez is guilty

As per the latest update, the rapper Tory Lanez who shot Megan was found guilty on three counts: carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm in a vehicle, assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.  

The LA Country District Attorney George Gascón commended Megan. He said, “I want to start by highlighting the bravery of Megan Pete. You showed incredible courage and vulnerability with your testimony despite repeated and grotesque attacks that you did not deserve. You faced unjust and despicable scrutiny that no woman should ever face and you have been an inspiration to others across LA County and the nation. Women, especially Black women, are afraid to report crimes like assault and sexual violence because they are too often not believed. This trial, for the second time this month, highlighted the numerous ways that our society must do better for women,” he continued.

“I’d also like to thank the jurors for their time and thoughtful deliberation and our trial team for their tireless pursuit of the truth. You spent countless hours away from your families during the holiday season preparing this case and finding justice for Ms. Pete. Your sacrifice is appreciated.”

The rapper Tory could be facing 22 years of imprisonment.
