It said, “The passing of our kind, hilarious mother, Cindy Williams, has brought us insurmountable sadness that could never truly be expressed. Knowing and loving her has been our joy and privilege. She was one of a kind, beautiful, generous and possessed a brilliant sense of humor and a glittering spirit that everyone loved.”
Additionally, they said, “We have always been, and will remain, SO proud of her for many things…her lifelong mission to rescue animals, her prolific artistry, her faith, and most of all, her ability to make the world laugh! May that laughter continue in everyone, because she would want that. Thank you for loving our Mom, she loved you too.”
Cindy was born in Van Nuys, California, on August 22, 1947. She was always interested in acting, even as a child. Williams studied theater at Los Angeles City College.
She started her career with commercials for brands such as Foster Grant sunglasses and TWA. After which she first appeared in a tv show, Room 222.
After that, she appeared in the movies such as Travels with My Aunt, American Graffiti, The Conversation, and much more.
On May 1, 1982, Cindy Williams married Bill Hudson. Their marriage lasted for 18 years; it ended on December 15, 2000. Zak and Emily Hudson are her only two children.
Ron Howard said, “I’m shocked because I hadn’t seen her for years and years. We connected at an event in Palm Springs [California] last year, and I was just so taken by how her intelligence, energy, and sense of humor…was still in high gear. And so it’s really a shock to imagine that spark is gone.”
