Harrison Ford’s Cannes Premiere Raises Eyebrows with Seating Arrangement for Wife Calista Flockhart
Controversy arises at Cannes as Harrison Ford‘s wife, Calista Flockhart, is seated behind him at the “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny ” premiere.

Harrison Ford took the spotlight at the Cannes Film Festival. Still, the festival organizers received some criticism for seating his wife, Calista Flockhart, behind him during his big premiere.
The couple arrived hand-in-hand at the world premiere of “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” receiving warm applause from the audience.
However, as they scanned the seating assignments, Calista noticed she had been placed behind Harrison, leading to an awkward moment between them.
While it remains to be seen who is responsible for the seating mix-up, separating the couple on such an important night for Harrison is odd.
Harrison Ford, 80, and Calista Flockhart, 58, graced the red carpet at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.” Ford, dressed in a classic black-and-white tuxedo, was joined by his co-stars and director James Mangold, while Flockhart donned an elegant black gown, matching the movie’s cast.
Before the premiere, Ford was honored with an honorary Palme d’Or for his lifetime achievements in the film industry. A montage showcasing memorable moments from his career left him visibly moved, and he expressed gratitude to his wife for her unwavering support throughout the years.
The couple has been together since 2002 and tied the knot in 2010. Despite their long-standing relationship, they have yet to collaborate professionally.
However, Ford has expressed his desire to find a project they can work on together as Flockhart returns to work after dedicating herself to raising their son, Liam, for the past two decades.
While their on-screen collaboration is yet to materialize, their presence at the Cannes premiere undoubtedly made a statement.
“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” marks Ford’s final performance as the iconic character, and the film is already generating significant buzz at Cannes.
Directed by James Mangold, the fifth installment in the franchise brings together an impressive cast, including Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, John Rhys-Davies, Shaunette Renee Wilson, and Mads Mikkelsen.
The movie is set to hit theaters on June 30, and its out-of-competition screening at Cannes was met with a thunderous five-minute standing ovation, underscoring the enduring popularity of the legendary Indiana Jones saga.
