In a statement to ABC News, the Panettiere family revealed that the medical examiner attributed Jansen’s death to “cardiomegaly (enlarged heart), coupled with aortic valve complications.” The family expressed their gratitude for their outpouring of support and requested privacy during this difficult time.

Additionally, the family added, “We sincerely appreciate the outpouring of love and support towards our family as we navigate this unthinkable loss, and ask that we be gifted our privacy during this time of mourning,” the family said. “We love you so much Jansen and you will be in our hearts forever.”

Jansen was found unresponsive in his Nyack apartment over the weekend after failing to attend a business meeting. The police report says that her sister became worried and alarmed after her brother did not show up for the business meeting.

When Jansen Panettiere did not pick up the phone and didn’t respond to her calls. His friend rushed to his apartment, where he was found lying unresponsive, trying to revive him, but their efforts were in vain.
