Hayden Panettiere, the American actress and singer is mourning the loss of her younger brother, Jansen Panettiere, who passed away at the age of 28.

The heartbreaking news was confirmed by TMZ, which reported that Jansen died in his home in Los Angeles on February 19; however, the cause of his death hasn’t been officially confirmed. However, a source in the police says that they received a call at around 5:30 pm.

Jansen was an actor like his sister and had notable roles throughout his career. He appeared in the film “The Perfect Game” and the TV series “Heroes,” which also starred Hayden. Jansen was also a voice actor in the popular anime series “Durarara!!” and “World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King” video game.

Hayden and Jansen had a close relationship, and the actress had previously spoken about her brother’s battle with mental health issues. She has been a vocal advocate for mental health awareness and even checked herself into a treatment facility in 2019 to manage her struggles.

Jansen was born on September 25, 1994, in New York City. He was the son of Lesley R. Vogel, an actress, and Alan Lee “Skip” Panettiere, a fire captain. Jansen is survived by his parents, sister, and 6-year-old daughter, Ava.
