Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine attacked in South Florida

A couple of men in the bathroom of the LA Fitness Gym in South Florida attacked Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine. As a result, the rapper sustained injuries to his face and bruises all over his body.

Lance Lazzaro added that the attack happened both in and outside the gym’s sauna, and Tekashi tried to fight back against the three or four men involved. A video was posted on Twitter showing at least two men kicking Tekashi on the floor, with one grabbing him by the hair and another saying, “Take a picture. I’m gonna be famous now.” After the incident, the men fled the scene.

The police rushed to the scene, and Tekashi was taken to a nearby hospital in an ambulance. Unfortunately, Tekashi had no security during the attack and planned to organize protection himself.

The incident happened after Tekashi was thrown out of a Miami baseball stadium on Friday for being intoxicated and disturbing fans, as reported by Page Six. It is not the first time Tekashi has been in trouble with the law. In January 2019, he pleaded guilty to nine felony charges, including firearm offenses, and admitted his involvement with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

He was sentenced to two years but was released in April 2020 due to Covid-19 concerns. Since his release, he has been boasting about money and women on social media and continues to make music.

In 2018, Tekashi broke rank to testify against gangmates and Cardi B, which earned him the label of a ‘snitch.’ He had cut a deal with the prosecutors, which reduced his sentence, and he spent only two years behind bars. However, due to his testimony, one of his co-defendants was sentenced to 24 years in prison.

Tekashi faced a 47-year minimum sentence and a maximum of life in prison when he was arrested in 2018 on racketeering, firearm possession, armed robbery, and attempted murder. The arrest was part of a crackdown on gangs in New York, and nine members of the same gang were taken into custody.

The motive behind the attack on Tekashi in the LA Fitness gym is unclear. However, the artist has made several enemies in the past and has been known for getting involved in many crimes, such as robberies, assaults, and drugs, as he admitted in court.
