Texas Longhorn coach Chris Beard arrested for third-degree felony

On December 12. 2022 Chris Beard was arrested on the charges of assault on a family/household member impeding breath circulation charge, which is strangulation. Reportedly, it is a third-degree felony.

The Texas basketball coach is booked into the Travis County Jail at 4:18 am.

Chris Beard is 49 years old. He is currently going through the booking process at the Travis County Jail as per Kristen Dark, Senior public information officer for the sheriff’s office.

The Austin PD said they had received a disturbance hotshot call and were immediately dispatched to 1900 black Vista Lane.

When reached for the statement, the Texas Longhorns stated that they knew the Chris Beard situation. They are gathering information and monitoring the legal process.
