We all have heard about the Netflix show ‘Wheel of Fortune.’
The famous game show features a competition in which contestants solve word puzzles in order to win cash and prizes determined by spinning a giant carnival wheel.
On Monday’s episode of ‘Wheel of Fortune,’ Pat Sajak mocked one of the contestants of the show named Brimble with a speech impediment, which upsets the viewers.
Though Brimble laughed the situation off, viewers who were upset about the Sajak’s apparent sarcasm toward the contestant took to Twitter to voice their outrage.
One of the viewers tweeted, “Hopefully, you learned by your mistake and stop making fun of those with a lisp. As a woman who has lived all her life with one (and my parents put me in speech classes when I was first going to school as a youngster), I find it appalling that you do that kind of crap.”
Another user pointed, “Did @patsajak just mock one of the contestants??”
Another outraged viewer tweeted, “@patsajak Hey d—-bag, say a cheap shot making fun of a contestant with a lisp. I teach speech therapy. You have been on the air for far too long. It’s time for you to retire. Your sarcasm is offensive and only funny to idiots such as yourself,”
No response was immediately received from Sajak representatives regarding any of the tweets.
Despite the host’s mock, Brimble’s game did not appear to be thrown off in the slightest. A total of $12,250 was won by him, but he failed to qualify for the bonus puzzle and earn the ultimate prize.
During the interview with the contestant, Sajak had an offbeat remark about something that had nothing to do with the offending joke. Brimble questioned how long one has to be married before they cease to be considered newlyweds.
Sajak told co-host Vana White at the end of the show, “You know I’ve been married 31 years, and I still feel like a newlywed. It’s going to be a big night at the Sajak house.”
