Rakim Hasheem Allen passed away at a Los Angeles area hospital on Monday, shortly after being rushed there following the shooting.

The “Selfish” rapper was injured in a shooting at Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles restaurant on Monday afternoon while he and his girlfriend, Instagram model Steph Sibounheuang, were enjoying a meal together.

Earlier in the day, the rapper posted a video on his social media taking photos of himself wearing expensive jewelry.

According to a restaurant source, PnB’s social media posts about the high-priced jewelry led the suspect to target him.

No leads have yet emerged regarding the whereabouts of the suspect. However, according to reports, police may be able to identify him based on CCTV footage captured of the incident.

The 30-years-old Philadelphia-based rapper moved to Los Angeles after securing an agreement with Atlantic Records. He released his debut mixtape in September 2014.

Pastorius and Baynton is a street corner in the Philly neighborhood where he grew up, which inspired his stage name PnB Rock.

The American rapper and singer have collaborated with an array of A-lister artists over the years, including Chance the Rapper, Ed Sheeran, 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa, Kodak Black, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, and Young Thug.

Aside from the numerous mixtapes he has released throughout his career, PnB Rock also released two studio albums, “Catch These Vibes” in 2017 and “TrapStar Turnt PopStar” in 2019.

The ‘GangUp’ singer’s legacy lives on through Milan and Xuri, his two daughters who he shared with Steph Sibounheuang.
