Popularly known as Razor Ramon, Scott Hall is a former professional wrestler. He is a retired wrestler of the World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling. Furthermore, he is the four-time winner of the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

Razor Ramon worked as a wrestler for almost two-decade during which he had made his name renowned in the wrestling world. In 2010, after seeing his father’s wrestling career for many years, Cody decided to follow in his father’s footsteps. Therefore, he had his first match in 2012 against Josh Hess and won.

In 2014, the wrestler won the Superstars of Wrestling Championship. Furthermore, he also won the Georgia Heavyweight Championship in the same year.

In early 2015, Cody began to train in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Then, after two years, he joined Pro Wrestling Noah and has his final match here in 2019.

After being in rehab, he had a peacemaker and a defibrillator implanted in his chest. In 2010, he was hospitalized due to an infection found in both of his lungs. 

While being in the hospital, he went through many seizures and was finally diagnosed with epilepsy. This made him go through many medications both for this and heart problems.

In 2011, the wrestler had to go to the hospital once again after having seizures. He had lung and heart problems during his stay, resulting in very low blood pressure.

For several years, Razor struggled with these health issues and left his wife and children worried time and time again. Ultimately, in 2013, Diamond Dallas Page invited the wrestler to stay with him until he became sober.

Career

In 1984, Razor began his career as a wrestler. His first match was with Dusty Rhodes in National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). They played the games as a duo.

The pair didn’t get to wrestle immediately. Moreover, they first worked as a crew since the wrestling industry was packed. But soon enough, they got their chance to shine.

In1985, Razor joined American Wrestling Association. He used stage names like Magnum Scot Hall, Big Scott Hall, etc. Moreover, he wrestled as a babyface wrestler as per the script, meaning a fan’s favorite wrestler.

From 1987 to 1990, Razor traveled to Japan for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). Soon after this, he began to participate in many tournaments organized by World Championship Wrestling, World Wrestling Federation, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Catch Wrestling Association, World Wrestling Council, and World Championship Wrestling.

During The World Championship Wrestling, The Diamond Studd helped Razor gain his ultimate stage name. Although Razor himself came up with the new stage name, The Diamond gave him a new look.

After his new look, he became the wrestler who always had a toothpick in his mouth. Furthermore, Razor became a wholly new and improved wrestler. Even after his retirement, the wrestler has made many comeback matches and reminded the audience of his name and game.

Controversies involving Razor Ramon

In 1983, Razor was charged with second-degree murder. As per the reports, he shot a man outside a nightclub using his own gun as an act of self-defense. The charges against the wrestler were dropped due to a lack of evidence.

In 1990, he was found guilty of car vandalism parked outside a nightclub in Orlando, Florida. In addition, Razor had to pay a USD 2000 fine. 

Furthermore, in 1998, he groped an elderly woman in a hotel in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and was arrested for it. Again in 2008, Razorwretched the podium after being roasted by a comedian in a show. 

Two years later, in 2010, Ramon got arrested for drunk driving and refused arrest. In 2012, he was charged with domestic assault against his girlfriend, Lisa Howell. As per her statement, Hall choked her while drunk. These charges were later dropped due to insufficient evidence against Hall.
