As a Brad Pitt fan, Tom Holland thinks the 57-year-old actor would be the perfect choice to play the latter in a project about his life, if such a project ever came to fruition.
Holland said in a new interview, “I reckon he’d be a good one. We’ve got the same body type.”
The 24-year-old actor added, “He’s a little bit taller than me, but that’s all right. I’m not even joking, by the way. Brad Pitt is sort of the apex of what being a movie star is. If you look at his career and the work he’s done… I mean, he’s No. 1 for me.”
In terms of their careers, Pitt and Holland began their careers in greatly different decades: the ’80s for Pitt and the 2010s for Holland. However, both of them have been well-known A-list actors.
The career of Brad Pitt began with minor roles in television series and films before he was cast as the star of such films as “Interview With the Vampire,” “Se7en,” and “Fight Club.”
Currently, he holds two Academy Awards, earning his first for “12 Years a Slave” (2014), produced by his production company Plan B Entertainment.
His supporting role in ‘Once Upon A Time in Hollywood’ as Cliff Booth earned Pitt his first acting Academy Award in 2020.
Earlier, Holland had been a theater kid before he made it to Hollywood. The Impossible (2012), which starred Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts, was his first film role.
A milestone in his career was achieved in 2016 when he appeared as Peter Parker in their Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Captain America: Civil War.
That year, he also starred in “The Lost City of Z,” which, coincidentally, was produced by Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment.
Since then, Holland has reprised his Marvel character for two ” Avengers” movies and the standalone “Spider-Man” franchise.
Recently, he has been receiving Oscar buzz for his role in the upcoming drama film “Cherry.”
