Early Life, Parents, and Education
Tomi Lahren is the daughter of Trudy Lahren and Kevin Lahren. An only child, Tomi grew up in a middle-class family. She shares a close bond with both her parents.

Trudy and Kevin owned a ranch, and growing up, Tomi often helped her parents out on their ranch. She studied at Central High School and graduated in 2010.
After finishing her high school education, she joined the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in 2014. Tomi graduated from the university with a BA in broadcast journalism and political science.
During her time at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Tomi was the host and associate producer of the university’s political roundtable show, The Scramble. Tomi Lahren was always interested in becoming a political commentator. So she applied to One America News Network (OANN), and after an initial interview, she was given the chance to host her show.
Tomi relocated to San Diego, California, and became the host of her show for OANN titled On Point with Tomi Lahren. The show premiered in August 2014.
Tomi became an overnight sensation In July 2015 after a video of her commenting on the 2015 Chattanooga shootings became viral. Then, in August, she announced that she had quit OANN.

After making the announcement, she moved to Texas. In November 2015, she became the host of her show with TheBlaze called Tomi.
Her show ended with three-minute segments called “final thoughts” which skyrocketed her to fame. She endorsed Marco Rubio for president in the Republican Party presidential primary in January 2016.
Tomi Lahren became the subject of controversy on March 17, 2017, after making a guest appearance on The View. Describing her “pro-choice” views, Lahren said,
“I am a constitutional, you know, someone that loves the Constitution. I’m someone that’s for limited government. So I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies. I can sit here and say that as a Republican and I can say, you know what, I’m for limited government, so stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well…”
Following her remarks, Lahren was criticized by TheBlaze’s owner, Glenn Beck, known for her anti-abortion views. She slammed Lahren for her comments and suspended her with pay.
Lahren filed a wrongful termination suit, which was eventually settled under an agreement. Lahren was allowed to keep her Facebook page but had to delete her TheBlaze videos.
After her suspension, she started working as a senior communications adviser at Great America Alliance in May 2017. Great America Alliance is an advocacy group known for supporting Donald Trump. Lahren drew a lot of criticism for taking up the job.
She defended herself by describing her job as a “side gig”. However, in August 2017, Lahren returned to TV as a political commentator after joining Fox News. She currently hosts a talk show on the network titled No Interruption.
