Vei’s Twitch account was created on 25 July 2015, and she joined Twitter on September 2016. Vei’s original 3D model was shown by creator jjinomu, prior to her debut. She made her VTuber debut on 12 April 2020. Soon she received a boost in popularity in May of the same year, when major Japanese YouTuber Shinji made a video series about her. Vei’s YouTube channel, primarily used for stream highlights, was created on 4 May 2020, with the first-ever video being uploaded to the channel on 8 May 2021.
On 23 September 2020, she announced a 2D model avatar with a unique succubus outfit. It was eventually released in 2021 after facing numerous delays due to technical problems.
